  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • There was many opportunities to work in all retail areas such as supply, buying, merchandising and Dot.Com

  • Only after a few weeks I felt part of the team and got treated as a work colleaugue rather than just a student.

  • I had a very supportive manager who encouraged me to take on new challenges.

  • I was never bored and enjoyed the fact that every day was different.

  • I was responsible for small tasks but also important tasks such as the signing off of magazine features.

  • I have gained an enourmous amount of retail knowledge and IT skills aslo.

  • The atmosphere was sometimes too loud

  • The students arranged most of the scheme but it seemed to run quite smoothly

  • I was able to take part in training courses, I choose to attend the Personal Efficiency and Presentation Skills courses.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We attended the xmas party and supplier conference also went on nights out with supplier with all expenses paid for.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Rent was quite pricey,

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in Hertford was good, not too far away, London was only 20 mins by train.

  • Yes we went bowling, paintballing and Top Golf
