    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very well balanced and allowed me to show my strengths and use my skills to complete my projects.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My manager and my mentor were both very friendly and helpful. They offered me constant feedback and direction and made sure that I was able to meet the deadlines that were set for my projects. They were also very friendly and made me feel like I was part of the group by inviting me to meetings that they had to attend, going out for drinks or lunch.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All of the members of my team were very supportive and offered me guidance when I did not know or understand the company workflow, who I needed to contact to get my work done or whether I was executing my projects correctly or according to the the company's standards

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My manager never asked me to stay over the working hours, so it was just a matter of how much effort was I willing to put in in order to make my projects more valuable in 8 weeks time.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I basically managed one entire project from start to finish and helped my manager with another project, so it was a perfect balance between being a project manager and executing tasks.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • At the beginning of my internship we were given a crash Python course which definitely helps me this year at my projects. Also, my team helped me develop my communication skills and my presentation skills, by exposing me to managers from all regions: EMEA, APAC, AMERS and on various managing positions.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was very relaxed and fun, but professional.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, there were two official reviews of the projects that helped me a lot to steer me in the right direction and to finish everything on time. Also, there were lots of opportunities to network with the representatives of the company, charity work, as well many events with the interns.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • 5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We all had a lot of fun during the internship, everyone was very polite, even though we came from very different backgrounds. I made a few friends among the interns and I still keep in touch with them.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As I worked in London, St. Pauls, everything was of course a little bit more expensive, but I managed to keep my living costs quite low without spending all my salary. Probably the most expensive is the accommodation, but the sooner you rent the place, the cheaper it is.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I am not really a party animal, but all the interns loved working in St. Pauls as the most popular venues were quite close.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 5/5
