The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the internship and gained invaluable skills.
I felt very valued by my colleagues. The work environment at Gatwick was extremely welcoming and the office has a wonderful team-spirit.
I was always briefed about the tasks assigned to me and was invited to partake in team meetings. Both gave me an overview of the project as a whole. I was supported throughout each project I worked on and was given valuable feedback.
There was always something for me to do.
I was given a sufficient amount of responsibility.
I gained invaluable skilld throughout my internship that I believe are very transferable to both my studies and professionally in the future.
The Company
Gatwick office was a wonderful place to work. The staff there are all very friendly and welcoming, often introducing themselves despite not ever working on a project with me.
I think the work placement was very well organised. It was a shame that there weren't as many client jobs compared to the internships that were based in the Central London offices. However, given the quieter period during the summer, I do feel that I had a sufficient amount of on-site client exposure.
I was impressed and grateful for the residential training organised by PwC at the start of the internship. I believe this put all of us interns in good stead, as it introduced us to some of the key aspects and programmes used during the internships. What's more, meeting the other interns helped to make starting at the office less nerve racking. I think the online training that we were required to complete by the end of the internship was interesting. Lastly, I really liked the feedback system and the Gatwick feedback structure.
I can see why people stay at PwC.
The Culture
My fellow interns were very friendly and approachable, as well as hard working and enjoyable to work with.
The social lunches were reasonable.
I didn't partake in any night activities.
There were are few.
