The Role
Enjoyed finding out about the company, its culture and the nature of work. Disliked the fact that the work was different to what I expected it to be based on previous experiences and job description.
I felt that my efforts were appreciated, although didn't feel quite comfortable with the atmosphere being on the relaxed end of professional.
I was given clear instructions prior to all of the tasks and feedback on majority of them.
First two weeks - bored. Last two weeks - crazy busy.
Responsibility levels varied, with some tasks making me feel quite important while some (printing, dropping off documents to another office) - not so much.
Professional environment experience is always of great value and I have gained some confidence which I think will help me with my degree studies and beyond.
The Company
Too much if anything!
The initial induction was very well organised, with all the interns ging away for a few days to get to know each other and the company. Otherwise the training in the office was improvised and the 'development day' was average.
As above - initial training and induction excellent.
Company Parties/Events
Overall - yes, because career prospects and growth perspectives are enormous.
The Culture
Going out organised every week, but organised by interns while other companies do some events for interns.
Central London... Says it all, doesn't it?!
Busy area with lots of offices and hence lots of bars and pubs.
A few - evening out with colleagues and drinks to celebrate promotions.
