Role Description

I was responsible for analyzing potential investments for my firm by making valuations. I was also involved in an internal project on growth trends.

    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I learned a tremendous amount, and enjoyed going to work every morning.


  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was eager to answer my questions.


  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone in my office took time to teach me new skills.


  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was working long hours, but I learned so much from it!


  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I really felt that I had made strong input towards my firm's decisions.


  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This opportunity gave me a new set of skills, and a great network.

  • It was rather business formal all the time.


  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I had a very clear set of responsibilities.

  • They made a great investment towards my initial placement.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were numerous opportunities to socialize and network.


  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Central London can be quite pricey.


  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Weekends were spent with fellow interns in Leicester square and soho.


  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were opportunities to work with local charities.
