The Role
My workload varied depending on whether my mentor was in the office every day and whether the contacts I wanted to talk to were actually at work!
I was involved in team meetings on a regular basis and was asked my opinion regularly.
Eveyone was supportive of my needs.
Depended on the nature of the day!
I was left to set up my own projects on my own which was really great.
I learnt about working in a charitable large working environment, which was invaluable to my levels of work experience.
The Company
There were many people coming and going all day which was good, I could learn from a lot of different perspectives.
We had a set of objectives which we needed to work around.
We had meetings every two weeks to discuss my progress and we had mid-internship training which consisted of CV training and interview techniques.
The Culture
I think there was in London but there were only 3 interns in the Horsham office!
When used, facilities were cheap.
Was never used unfortunately!
We were encouraged to volunteer at outside events such as Relay for Life and Race for Life. For those who it applied to, it was good for interns to set up their own events to raise money for the charity.
