The Role
The placement was excellent with lots of variety, opportunities, self work & great people
Treated really well by most of my colleagues. Often felt it would be a struggle when I left
Great support by my supervisor, helping and teaching as well as left to own devices.
Sometimes really busy and at other times a good amount of time.
On a number of occasions I was left in charge of the venue.
Learned a lot, more than I ever have in university. This placement has set me up for life.
The Company
Often lively, fun.
N/a didn't need to be organised, could get involved straight away.
The people invested time on me BUT the company nothing. Wasn't sent on any training like the rest of my department.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Due to a small department and lack of funds there is only a chance is someone leaves.
The Culture
People I worked with were really social, often went to the pub after a days work.
Carlisle, really cheap, cheap rent, and living costs.
With university in the area, nightlife was good, lots of nice clubs and bars.
Got other freelance work from my placement.
