  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very good internship, I have learnt a lot, met interesting people; sociable hours too.

  • Everyone on the team was very friendly/helpful & appreciative of the work I was doing.

  • The right balance of support and freedom to work on your own

  • Perfect balance - I was given enough work to keep me busy; whenever I finished a task I just let my managers know, and they gave me a new one.

  • From the very first day I was given my own projects to work on, and was expected to show initiative and responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Being given a lot of responsibility early on helps develop confidence; also, good experience working in a professional/office environment - definitely useful for the future

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone on the team seemed committed to their work, but they were always willing to take a short break, grab a coffee and have a chat

  • Very well organised - two day induction to make sure we all knew what to expect from the internship and what to do in the following days

  • Loads of events, talks by senior managers to make sure we learn as much as possible about the company and various career paths available within it

  • Got an offer for a full-time position starting next year

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Very large intake of interns and we were constantly encouraged to socialise and network with one another

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Working in London is never cheap, but the generous salary covered the costs of living, socialising etc.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London has everything you might want in terms of night-life - the office was in a very central location which also helped

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There was a number of after-work team-building events, and a charity event on one of the weekends
