The Role
Really interesting work
My colleagues were all very friendly, and I really had the feeling I was making a meaningful contribution
My manager was extremely supportive and fun to work with
8 hour working days, but with flexitime
I was given my own project to work on, and had complete freedom to take it in any direction I wanted
The placement was really hands on, and involved applying the programing skills I had learnt at university, but also taught me a lot of new skills
The Company
Great fun! The company hires loads of interns, so my office was full of interns
The internship was very well organized, and included many social events
My manager and the other members of my team took time out of their days to further my knowledge of certain areas, and explain things to me, so I learnt a lot.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I would very much like to work for ABB again!
The Culture
An impeccable social scene, as there were many many interns, we would organize events weekly
Going out was quite expensive, but the salary was sufficient to cover a fairly active social life
There was no nightlife in the town I was working in, but the nearby city had a great nightlife
Weekly football and basketball sessions with fellow employees
