The Role
When I started first, it was very boring but than I started enjoying taking new challenges and getting the opportunities to explore different types of engineering companies.
Well, I felt pretty confident and friendly because all my co workers and other staff members were very nice and helpful.
In terms of support and guidance, Lisi is the best. Its is just because they provide a personal mentor who deals and sort out all the level of difficulty whenever the student needs him or her. They also provide you the SIX sigma training and workshops, where an intern can learn a lot of things which can be very helpful in any graduate job.
According to me, it all depends on the student on placement. The more he or she involves and takes new challenges, the more you will be busy...
During the first few months, I was learning and picking up things to understand the system of the company. After some interval I was given the project of CIP which means of (Continuos Improvement Project), I was the team leader of six members and I led the team bearing in mind the cost budget and the time management.
I believe, I have learnt and developed a lot of skills during my placement. I am a promotivated person who would like to know how things happen and how they can be further improve with using latest techniques and technologies in terms of efficiency. These skills are very useful in my daily life which I cannot forget ever in my whole life.
The Company
Lisi is divided into two basic sections, Low Volume and the High Volume area. Our office was located in the Low Volume Unit in a seperate cabin. I can see through my office operators working on the CNC machines.Everyone looks busy with their tasks. My seat was next to my mentor and the quality engineers.
It was very well organised and it started since my first day when I joined the company. Everything was up to date and occur in a very systematic and well mannered. We uses different types of softwares for purchasing and communication. The meetings were organised by the programme manager in every alternate week to make sure everyone is on the right track.
Lisi has invested a lot interms of time management, six sigma trainning, excellent communication levels with the clients all over the worlds. During my experiace there, I can bring some initiative ideas and excellent customer service and hope to become the valueable asset for the company.

As I mentioned earlier, the more you involves the more you get the motivation and this motivation can lead you to the graduate job when you finish you degree. 90 percent chances are there to get the future employment. I think, it all depends on the candidate's intrest.
The Culture
Certainly yes, there were some chaps and lads who were really funny and good. They love to organise night outs and parties on weekends. I really had a good time with them.
Rugby is an industrial area and therefore its quite expensive as compared to other cities such as Coventry, Northampton, Bedford and Luton.
The night life is good but if you have money you can enjoy a lot...People all over the ages can be see in the pubs and night clubs..
Not really, but there are some communities and unions whom anyone can join and they are most welcome. There are also some extra curricular sports teams which goes out occasionly during their holidays..
