    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an amazing company to work for and a really insightful job, however like any job it had it's difficulties at points.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team really became my family, we always had fun but still got things done; i was so sad to leave them!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • It helps to use your initiative with this job role and within this company, but when i needed help there was always someone that was more than happy to help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It varied a lot, i rarely found myself with nothing to do, but due to the nature of the job it was always unpredictable.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was treated like i was a permanent employee and could have as much responsibility as i felt comfortable with (which increased the longer i was there). There were a couple of weeks where it was just myself and my buyer, so i did 'run the show' for that time.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have not yet started my final year at university, however I already have a clearer view about how everything fits in within the industry. It's been a completely invaluable experience and i've learnt more than i could have hoped for. It has also helped me develop ideas for my final dissertation.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was always such a fun atmosphere in the office and there's a great emphasis on everyone being welcome and getting along in and out of the office.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I couldn't think how it would have been done any better, we we're always well informed about what we we're doing and had to do, and if we were unsure there was always someone available to guide you.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were often training programmes to attend to help with your job role and the internal systems, we were always asked if we needed any more training or if there was anything else we wanted to learn.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I wouldn't hesitate to come back if a job was available and offered to me

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Absolutely, there was always some sort of social going on out of work hours, it made you really feel part of the team,

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was expensive as it was London, the rent in the Camden area was very expensive but it's always possible to be able to socialise.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was such a buzzing atmosphere every night and there's always something happening; it's a little bit inconvenient if you want to go to different parts of London but that's all part of the experience and fun and is to be expected if you move to London.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were a few that i remember that came through on e-mails.

    3/5
