    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Loved the year, a great experience of working in the industry and actually doing the role as you would if you were a real employee.

  • The team were very welcoming and it was a sad experience to have to leave!

  • It was easy to discuss personal development/any issues with management and supervisors as you felt like a valued part of the team.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy due to not having an assistant buyer in the team however it enabled me to gain a lot more experience and skills that I otherwise would not have so it was great.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As above - a lot of responsibility was given as often I would be the only memeber of the team in the office however this was a valuable and fantastic experience.

  • I really value the year and know it will help me in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Menswear was a fantastic place to work, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and sense of family.

  • No problems/issues at all.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • During the placement they spent a lot of time helping us with group development mornings, however I think it would be great if ASOS had a graduate scheme to enable you to secure jobs for when your studies are complete to make sure you come back.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I felt valued and hopefully want to go back however it would be great if ASOS were able to give you contracts to secure a job with them on graduation as I have noticed from other placements.

  • London is generally expensive however it was fine on the salary we were given.
