The Role
Work was at times slow, sometimes had to ask for work to do rather than constantly being busy. I believe this however helps to show your iniciative and willingness to work.
Very valued. I was given the task of completing a large project which added real value and was submitted to the client as a founding element of research.
I do prefer to overcome challenegs on my own. However when I did need support or advice on any element of work it was always readily available. I was also able to gain much wider guidance on more general terms to future career advice with ease.
I was never overladed with work nor was I left bored. If I needed more work I was always able to ask a member of my team for some.
A lot more than I initially expected. This may have been due to the fact I requested to work on a specific project my department were working on. In doing this I was able to get fully involved and carry out a large report off of my own back.
Very much so. Several aspects of work I have undertaken will benefit me tremendously over my final year at University giving me a deeper insight into the quality of work that is expected in professional practice.
The Company
I found it quite difficult to interact with my team on a more social basis but from a working perspecitve just as I imagined.
For me it appeared to be very well organised.
The company has the ability to offer everything I would look for.
The Culture
We did try to organise more events amongst ourselves. Often not very well unptaken. This may be due to the placement being at the end of a summer in which people had already undertaken previous placements.
As I commuted from Reading to London travel costs were a significant burden. Socialising in London is never cheap - Happy hour was always welcome.
Very good. A very sociable friendly atmosphere - drives me to get a job and have enough money to be able to fund it.
