The Role
It was really enjoyable, rather stretching, but the office has a great atmosphere and is a nice place to work.
i had very positive feedback from my colleagues, but they also were honest with me which helped me to improve.
i was given a lot of guidance but i would have liked more frequent updates with my line manager to track my progress.
i was very, very busy on some days and getting quite stretched. However for the most part, it was a good balance.
I was given a lot of responsibility which made me feel valued and made me enjoy my work more.
I doubt the skills i have learned will help in my degree as the two are unrelated, but I believe they will help me in my future career.
The Company
My team especially was a lovely place to work, and we had a lot of fun whilst working hard.
Very well organised. I received my work plan very far in advance and also was briefed on what i had to do before i even arrived.
I had a fair amount of training in certain computer systems. they also gave me introductory sessions to many different aspects of the company. these were very useful.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
The future prospects are very appealing and i hope that I can return.
The Culture
Very good - we had lots of induction time so made friends, and then went on to socialise outside of work.
Socialising was quite expensive, but i thought it was good value for the area. Nobody missed out because it was too expensive.
No nightlife at all, so we went out closer to London
I wasn't aware of many activities outside of work except for the gym.
