    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship at Deloitte. The work was interesting, people friendly and helpful and I felt very good about going to work every morning and learning something new.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I could understand that colleagues valued me a lot by looking for and giving interesting and important tasks and the work I was doing was actually used and valuable to them. From first morning, I felt like a full team member, even I did not have as much experience as others.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • When more senior people came to me with a new task, they always started from explaining it first and added some background information or stuff which would be useful to know. I could always ask questions on the spot and they were welcomed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On most days I was pretty busy and when I finish one task, somebody has another ready for you. Our office had an extra task for us to do a presentation on existing and target client and present it to partners and directors at the end of the internship. So, I used all the free time for that when I had any.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My work and tasks were important and usually they are done by senior associates or assistant managers, so I was delegated a lot of responsibility.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I acquired many 'tools' during my internship: communication, teamwork, presentation, time management, organization and planning etc. They will be very helpful not just at university, but in the future as well.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a very good balance between work and fun. People always found time for a chat, a cup of tea and have a laugh. I found it that a small break helps to increase your efficiency after, so general atmosphere was very nice and you don't feel stressed.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Internship was organised very well, good planing in advance, they kept all the interns busy and on interesting jobs. Also, they were very flexible and ready to change something in order to let you have the best experience of it.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm invests a lot in new people, even though they are just interns. The mos senior staff participated in our events, pretended as fake companies directors giving us a chance to check real business world, listening to our presentations and asking questions.
