    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was given actual responsibilites and I saw what my work was used for...best thing an intern could wish for in my opinion!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They treat me like part of the team; going out for lunch, gossiping and don't treat me like an intern.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Whenever I emailed them or needed their help, they were more than happy to help. On one day I was the only person from the team in the office but they kept checking up on me in case I felt overwhelmed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was VERY busy, but I enjoyed this as it was realistic to what it would actually be like if I worked here. Also, I asked for work, whereas my manager always told me to let her know if I had too much.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given soo much responsibility (obviously my manager would check through everything I did). Every morning when I got into the office I knew what I had to be doing, I didn't need to keep asking for work. I was give regular jobs that I had to do every week and expected to get on with it.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I'm a pro at Excel now...amazing! My computing skills have also improved GREATLY! This will help me for the rest of my life (no exaggeration).

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • We had fun, but we never forgot there was work to be done! Perfect balance!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I knew who I had to see at the start and was placed on a team where there was actual work for me to do.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • My manger had to cover for someone on paternity leave but she ALWAYS had time to help me.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I was told by a Director, that from my feedback there'd be no problem and I'd have a job if I wanted it :-)

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Depends really, some of them didn't want to be social but I have made friends for life.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very expensive, but we got paid more than enough.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Loads of pubs, clubs and anything you could want.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We had extra cirricular fairs and there was always something going on...if you wanted to get invovled that is!

    4/5
