  • Towards the end of the placement I was given a lot of responsibility, maybe a little too much at times.

  • Time management and organisation have been key skills to take back to University.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere always depended on the day ahead. For example on some more tense/ stressful days we could have 60+ customers booked in for a car and we would start the day with an empty car park.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement is very clear and organised. It is made clear to you from the start what is needed so you are always aware of what the next step is that you are working towards.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • To begin with I felt like I was getting the training and development however towards the end I felt a bit ignored.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I was doing the same job and same training as a graduate meaning if I were to go back I would already have experience of the job.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Being in an Airport branch working shift patterns there was one staff night out in the 14 months of working there. There was no provision for social nights out between other placement/graduates.

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I stayed at home whilst working on my placement.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I stayed at home whilst working on my placement.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Doing shift patterns at the airport branch meant that trying to be involved in any activity outside of work was extremely difficult as you never had the same set working week.

    2/5
