The Role
Rough at the start, but by the end I didn't want to leave!
Slotted into the management team as though I'd been there for years, very close-knit group.
In a retail environment it can be hard to pin mentors down for long enough to get the support you need.
I never stopped, but that's the atmosphere I was expecting. Always got the time to go on attachments and visits if I wanted to though.
Tons of responsibility - looking after very real sections and being accountable for delivery of a number of KPI's.
Felt as though I've got more than a years experience out of this year, it's definitely been worth it.
The Company
Being completely honest - there were some horrible days when you didn't manage to get anything done all day and everyone was subdued.. but most of the time it was great.
The training programme was very structured at first, but then was very fluid around your needs and individual situation.
I got all the support I needed, and by the end I can easily see how far I've moved on thanks to my mentors.

Can't wait to rejoin :)
The Culture
It entirely depends on your group, but networking with colleagues across the region was encouraged.
Lived at home with parents so dead cheap :)
Half an hour between Manchester and Liverpool, half hour train to Preston or Birmingham.
Not much, but on courses the grads/ placement students met up for meals/drinks.
