    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my placement with Deloitte. For me, the particular highlights have been the levels of responsibility and the people. Hard to rate though as I have not worked elsewhere and "Best Job Ever" seems a bit bold.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People treated me as if I was a full-time employee, inviting me to employee events, and integrating me within their networks.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The strong majority of people were keen to offer help and advice and were always on hand to help deal with any queries.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As the work is client related I found it came in peaks and troughs, but working within a team I did not find this a problem.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was by not stretch, "running the show", however I did receive certain levels of responsibility. As the duration of the placement went on I became more trusted and integrated within the team.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel like the placement and my time at Deloitte was much more valuable than my University studies.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A good working environment, where I was able to build personal as well as business relationships.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, it can be a complicated process to bring an intern onto a team for a short period of time, but between the HR team and my department it was run smoothly.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm was keen to invest time into me.

    5/5

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social network built between other interns was fantastic as the majority of us were like-minded individuals.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living and socialising is very very expensive, but to be honest that doesn't stop it happening most nights.

    3/5
