    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Good amount of work which remained diverse and, at times, intellectually challenging.

  • Numerous remarks made indicated that my help was appreciated, tand hat I had saved colleagues from working in the weekend.

  • Excellent induction day gave me access to a sizeable support structure

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Obviously the nature and complexity of the work, as well as the amount being received, constantly changed and thus so did my workday.

  • I was given responsibility suitable for my experience and education.

  • Drafting, writing, research, logistical and interviewing skills were all acquired through my personal work or from observing others.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • RPC's open plan offices lends itself to a friendly atmosphere in which it is easy to have a few words or passing chat with colleagues.

  • They kept exactly to the plan arranged at the start of the placement.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were skills sessions and departmental talks that I attended, for which time-precious associates took time to do.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • While our socialising was arranged as part of our placement, it was clear that the trainees at RPC frequently socialise together.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is an expensive place to live, the more so the close to the City you go.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I only saw parts of it, but the surrounding area is vibrant at night.

  • The placement did not last long enough to be engaged in such activities.
