The Role
I found some of the people I worked with rather unpleasant, the hours very long (@ 8am - 1am daily, and weekends) and most of the work boring
Some people were warm and welcoming, but many were quite obvious in their attitude that they didn't care (especially my buddy who is meant to be someone to turn to)
Management really helped me with my concerns about the placement
would have little or nothing to do until the evening when you would suddenly be overloaded
I very rarely felt like my work was valued or used
Gives me a benchmark to compare other jobs to - my previous placements have been MUCH more pleasant, more responsibility and people much better to work for/with
The Company
Always quite intense, a lot of swearing all the time from people of all levels
HR did a great job. Organisation was very good.
Loads of varied training programs and case studies
Financial Bonus
I pulled out of the assessment process halfway through the internship as I was positive there was no way I wanted a job here
The Culture
It was difficult as people were working such long hours, but when we did meet up it was good fun
Central London is inevitably very expensive, but we are paid more than enough to make up for that, and the social scheme (if you ever get to leave the office) is great.
Something for everyone in central London, just pretty pricy!
Working hours are too long and unpredictable to be able to commit to any activities outside of work
