The Role
It was my first real work ever, so it is hard to say, but I really like it
I was encouraging to ask questions to member of my team about any problem I have met
I can always ask questions and my buddy was very helpful
It depends on the day - sometimes I was quite busy
I was not aware, that I will get so much responsibility
I have learnt new technologies and I think it will really assist in my future career
The Company
It depends on the day - but most of the time all people from my team was working by their own, but when we were able to meet (i.e. in a kitchen) there was very nice atmosphere and I had several very nice chats
The only disadvantage (but quite big for me) was that I have a desk a bit separately from my team and it didn't help me in integration with the rest of my team
We have plenty of trainings during internship. They focuses on a firm as general, on technology issues and we also had a motivation traninig
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
It would be nic to get a job in UBS - permanent staff has even more interesting opportunities to improve your skills and more instersting perks on a work placement :)
The Culture
There was plenty of events organised for interns by UBS. Of course, we have also organised some events by ourselves (for all interns or for a smaller groups), so I have quite good social life
It wasn't cheap, but with a little of
I am not a fan of nightlife, but London is really good place for everyone, who enjoy it
There are community project ran by company, but interns usually do not take part in them
