The Role
An amazing experience, first hand exposure to the financial markets
My colleagues took interest in my views during the morning meetings
My managers always made time to support me
It depends on how busy the team is, though you will always have something to do so fairly busy
I was overseeing the teams risk management systems, so quite a lot of responsibility was given from the very start of the internship
The skills I've developed will help me manage my time better, and become more proactive when working in larger groups in the future
The Company
A down to earth team, fun to be around
The placement was well organised, regularly held weekly training/seminars
Weekly training, and during orientation week we had motivational speakers coming in
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Will find out soon. UBS would be a great place to begin my career
The Culture
Usualy met up for lunch with the interns, and attended evening events
Expensive, It is London after all
Quite lively, Didn't really get a chance to go out much
There were many community events such as the Shortditch games which all the interns all participated in. We also had office fun day's
