The Role
Although I was not in the Department that I am looking to go into, I was welcomed by everybody and thoroughly enljoyed my placment.
due to the fact that I came from a non-cognative background it was hard for me to participate in alot of the work. Despite this I felt valued for the work that I was doing.
Any support that I needed I was given, I didnt feel uncomfortable asking people for help.
My Level of work varied, some days I would have alot of work to do and somedays there wasn't that much to be done. As I grew in confidence I found it easier to ask around my team for work whenever I wasn't busy.
for my level of experience I was given substantial responsibiity and had the opportunity to help with many projects.
I learnt alot in a short space of time. As i am going on to do my masters in october much of the knowledge that i gained will coem in use later.
The Company
Really good atmosphere everybody got on very well. People seemed to eb enjoying their work.
Very well organised, there were lots of events and talks held for the benefit of the summer students
Savills invest alot of time and money in their graduates and placement students. Having said that their is only so much thatn can be done in 4 weeks.
Financial Bonus
Would really like to work with them in the future, but there is high competition.
The Culture
There was a good social seen, if you want to get involved you can.
central london was extremely expensive, You cant really spend less than £10 a day unless you are making your own lunches before you get in to work.
The local nightlife in the area around Savills grosvenor hill office was is pretty much un accessable as a placment students. Mostly private m embers clubs and ridiculously overpriced bars.
Not that much, I was invited to go to the pub for drinks on occasions with my colleagues but apart from that there was little else. Although im not really sure what else they could have done.
