    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A fantastic experience and just what I was hoping for. I was involved from day one and felt like a real member of the team.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was very welcoming and helpful and I always had plenty to do. I was also given a considerable amount of responsibility going to meeting on my own and working on high profile tasks.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support was there when needed but after initial training support was not required on a regular basis.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had plenty of tasks to complete. Was quickly instructed on two large projects with numerous tasks to complete which have kept me busy throughout the internship. Alongside this there has been plenty of variation in the work with different tasks coming up on a daily basis.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As mentioned I was travelling from the office to location such a Kingston, Notting Hill and High Wycombe on my own to meet with clients. Whilst in the office I was able to work on high profile and confidential projects with clients such as Morrisons and Maplins.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Have most definitely fore-filled my goal/aim which was to get an in depth insight into working in the London/National & Global property Market.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly atmosphere, everyone is very approachable. Made the days go by very fast and a stark contrast to my previous experience where I had my own office, I much prefer the open plan layout.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well, shame it was only 6 weeks though and no opportunity to extend. External circumstances were the issue here.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was every opportunity to get involved and improve, learn and develop as a professional.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would love to be offered the chance to come back as a graduate. I feel it would be a great firm to develop and take my professional/academic knowledge to the next stage.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We occasionally met up for lunch and drinks but from a personal point of view I often had too much work on, which is always a good thing.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I had an hour commute every day which involved a car journey, car parking, a mainline train and a tube. Therefore the cost was fairly high.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Plenty of opportunities.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • If you were willing and keen to get involved the opportunities were there for you.

    4/5
