    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very impressive scheme, everyone was really friendly and encouraging. The work was generally both realistic and interesting. One week was a disappointment as there was nothing for me to do at the client site that I was sent out to, which was very boring and frustrating.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone I worked with was incredibly helpful and friendly, thanking me for the work I had done.

    5/5

  • My champions (manager level) were extremely helpful with all my questions.

  • Generally pretty good balance, apart from the one week mentioned above.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair amount of responsibility, but all pieces of work were carefully checked with someone senior when I finished.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed useful skills with regards to work and later career, but Im not sure they will be relevant for university.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was a positive atmosphere, but it was worked focussed.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Generally very very good, apart from one week I was sent to a client site to help with a team who couldn't find anything for me to do.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given a week of induction training, but most of the learning was done 'on the job', the high rating given is due to the effort that everyone I worked with put into helping me to understand the work I was doing- very much a learning culture.
