  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I enjoyed the work I was doing and was great to use what I had learnt at uni

    • I was treated the same as the rest of the staff and made me feel part of the team

    • I was able to approach my manager for support but was sometimes hard to book meetings with him

    • I had regualar jobs to do on a daily basis but at times like month end and inventory when there was more work to get done

    • I was given a lot of responsibility and had my own areas of the business to manage

    • I was able to go on training courses such as Microsoft Access, managing time and presentation skills, this has enhanced my own skills

    • Everyone in the office was friendly and there was a good balance between working n socialising

    • The placement has been running for many years and Accounts and Finance have a placement student every year so they know what to expect

    • We arranged our own nights out and socialised with the graduates as well

    • It is not that expensive to live near to Burnaston

    • There is good night life in Derby, Nottingham and both near by
