    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I looked forward to going to work and throoughly enjoyed my role and the experiences and skills I gained.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is treated equally and although I was only on placement, I wasn't seen any differently and was taken seriously.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Manager and colleagues helped and supported me with anything I needed and worked hard to make sure I got the msot out of the year.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was a good balance, some days would be very busy and others not so much. A usual day was a good balance and I could always ask the rest of the team if they needed help with anything.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair deal of responsibility during my placement which helped me develop and feel a sense of worth whilst there.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have gained a range of both personal and professional skills which I will use at both my final year of university but also in the future. e.g. communication, professionalism, confidence, innitiative.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone is friendly and the rewards were good e.g. parties, events etc.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There were some things which werent organised so well - our placement support tutor was often away with work so it was hard to contact them. however, we had set amounts of training and social events which were great.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were set amounts of training which were great for development and you were encouraged to go on as many training courses that you needed. The courses were relevant and very useful.

  • Awaiting to hear confirmation. The future prosepcts look positive.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As the social secretary I organised many nights out across the year. There were 16 other placement students and the social scene was good.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • We were in North London so it was often pricey, but it was still affordable.

  • Both Hertford and london were great for the nigthlife.

  • yes, lots of activities.
