    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As an intern at Enterprise Mobility, I support daily branch operations while delivering excellent customer service. On a daily basis, I assist with checking customers into vehicles, processing returns, and ensuring rental agreements are completed accurately. I also perform administrative tasks such as updating customer records and handling phone calls and email communications. My role contributes to both front-end service and back-end efficiency, helping maintain smooth and professional branch operations, where customer service is key.

  • During my internship with Enterprise Mobility, I strengthened my communication and customer service skills by assisting a wide range of clients both in person and over the phone. I learned to clearly explain rental policies and resolve customer issues with professionalism and confidence. I also developed strong problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations. Additionally, I gained valuable sales experience through upselling services like vehicle upgrades and protection plans, while building a solid understanding of KPIs and the importance of meeting business performance targets.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was definitely given a good level of responsibility during my placement, which kept me busy and engaged without being overwhelming. I was trusted to interact with customers independently, handle rental agreements, manage vehicle check-ins and check-outs, and assist with resolving issues on the spot. While the workload could be fast-paced, it helped me stay focused and organised. The balance of responsibility allowed me to grow professionally while still feeling supported by the team when needed.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received a great deal of support and guidance during my placement from my managers, especially from my assistant manager who was incredibly approachable and always willing to help. I felt comfortable asking questions at any time, which made learning much easier. My team and colleagues were equally supportive, everyone worked together and had each other’s backs. The collaborative environment made it a positive and encouraging place to grow both personally and professionally.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture and general atmosphere is incredibly positive and team-oriented. We all get on really well and have built strong working relationships, which makes every day enjoyable. There is a great balance between having fun and staying focused—we can share laughs while still maintaining high work standards and delivering excellent service. Everyone is supportive, encouraging, and willing to help each other out, creating a workplace where everyone feels motivated, valued, and genuinely part of a team.

  • I had an amazing time during my internship, especially because of the positive workplace culture and the incredibly supportive people around me. The team environment made every day enjoyable and motivating, helping me grow both personally and professionally. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to gain such valuable experience in a welcoming and encouraging setting. Overall, the internship has been a very rewarding chapter in my career development.
