Overview
I work within the civils team, on a range of projects. mostly i use civil 3d for the design of sewers, but also do a lot of work on producing survey scopes and making retorts of the findings form surveys.
Skills
I have developed my CAD skills, built on my time management from juggling several projects & and people skills working within a team which requires a lot of communication.
Responsibilities
i was given a lot of responsibility with the projects i worked on to manage my time to produce a good quality of work in a given time frame. this want to overwhelming as there is plenty of support and checks to ensure I and my work are doing well.
Support & Guidance
A lot, there are many systems in place to ensure you get the support you need. in addition to loads of people to reach out to/ get help from if needed.
Culture
comfortable and positive with lots of events to make you feel included no matter who you are. You can defiantly could feel the pressure of a private company with targets/ billability but never overwhelming or problematic.
Your Impressions
this with out a doute has been and most likely will be the best year of my degree

don't lose hope if you don't get it first try be yourself and don't over think things
