Overview
I supported the EMEA recruitment teams with content creation, including social media graphics, video editing, and branded templates. I helped plan and deliver recruitment campaigns, wrote blog content, updated the CMS, and contributed to hotel opening promotions. I also supported CRM tasks and internal communications. My day-to-day varied, offering exposure to both creative and strategic projects, while collaborating with teams across regions and functions.
Skills
I developed creative skills in graphic design, video editing, and content writing, using tools like Canva. I strengthened my communication and project management skills by collaborating with regional teams and meeting deadlines. I also gained experience with CMS platforms, CRM systems. My confidence grew in presenting ideas and adapting to fast-paced environments, helping me become more proactive, organised, and commercially aware in a corporate setting.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility. I had my own projects to manage, supported decision-making with the department lead, and even stepped up to run the sub-department while my manager was off sick for an extended period. It pushed me out of my comfort zone but helped me grow a lot.
Support & Guidance
My manager and team were always there when I had questions, and I had regular check-ins to keep me on track. As well as support of the wider Hilton Team, from cross-exposure to providing content.
Culture
The company culture at Hilton was really supportive and inclusive. There were regular team days, active resource groups, and a strong focus on community through the Travel with Purpose initiatives. Everyone was always willing to help, and there was a big emphasis on personal growth and well-being. The Go Hilton travel benefit was a huge plus, everyone encouraged making the most of it, which really added to the positive, people-first atmosphere.
