    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my year placement with Avis. My department made me feel like a valued and needed part of their team and I was exposed to many aspects of Marketing and Sales and had a great time along the way.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My whole team made me feel really welcomed and appreciated. I was always praised when I worked hard or contributed to a big project.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Line Manager (Charlotte Lowry) was the perfect manager. She supported me before, during and after my placement and always gave me opportunities to further strengthen my skills.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My role was fairly demanding, however I believe that as it was such a varied role that it allowed me to learn a lot of details in many areas. I know feel like I not only have a broad knowledge of the company but also of Marketing as a whole.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given plenty of responsibility and was supported through out. Working in the Partnerships Team felt like I was an equal and valued employee just like the rest of the team. It was really rewarding to know that everything I was doing was having a real-life, real-time impact.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt many industry specific and marketing specific knowledge which will further support and aid me in my future career as well as helping me with my final year of studies.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office environment was on the quiet side but my team were so much fun and it was a pleasure to have met such an amazing team of amazing people.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Charlotte Lowry and Jeanette Harper had a one year plan which helped me through my placement. By having 'SMART' objectives and goals meant that we could see how the pace of my learning and development was going against what they had planned. I really appreciated the time and effort that they had put into planning for my placement; so that I was able to get the most out of my time with Avis as possible.
