  • The Spring Insight in the TDI division offered a mix of interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions. Each day involved learning about how Deutsche Bank uses technology to support trading, risk management, and operations. We explored topics like AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity, and took part in group projects and Q&A sessions with senior leaders. The programme gave us hands-on exposure to how innovation drives change across the bank’s global platforms.

  • Yes, I deepened my understanding of how technology supports banking operations, particularly in areas like data analytics, automation, and cybersecurity. I improved my problem-solving and collaboration skills through interactive workshops and case studies, while also gaining insights into agile methodologies and innovation in financial services. The experience helped me appreciate the critical role TDI plays in driving efficiency and delivering value to clients.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was eye-opening to see the wide range of roles within TDI, from software engineering and data science to business analysis and cybersecurity. Hearing from different teams helped me understand how each role contributes to the bank’s strategy and daily operations. It also clarified how technical and non-technical skills come together to solve real-world problems, making it easier to see where my interests and strengths could fit within the business.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture was inclusive, collaborative and supportive. Everyone from analysts to senior leaders was approachable and open to questions. There was a strong emphasis on innovation, continuous learning and working together to solve complex challenges. The atmosphere throughout the week was professional yet friendly, which made it easy to engage, network and feel welcomed as part of the team.
