    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • In the TDI division we focused on Deutsche Bank and the four divisions. On the second and third day we focused on how Deutsche Bank uses technology in a bank, particularly in areas such as: AI, data science, software engineering, business analysts, UI/UX. We learnt about the investment banking sector particularly and corporate banking and spoke with graduates to get an insight into life at Deutsche Bank which was extremely helpful.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learnt about different roles in technology and how TDI supports all the four departments in the bank. I also learnt the importance of having an open mind and growth mindset and that our career is truly in our hands. I am now much more open to trying new things and being an all rounder and mainly being the best at what I do.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was invaluable, it made me have a better understanding about what role I would like to embrace in the technology division. Also, I learnt that business and technology work closely together. It evaluated how complex the banking system is but how the complexity is what produces the best outcomes for the clients.

    Your Impressions

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed it fully, at the beginning as I am in TDI division I felt a bit clueless when I was hearing about all the other divisions but it was still interesting, however the other days I started being vulnerable to new information and embracing it instead of trying to know everything. It made the whole experience so much more funner as it got the curious side out of me.
