Role Description

Providing IT support to the UK, in terms of rolling out new software packages, assisting with issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure

  1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  2. Great year, great experience


  3. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  4. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Felt part of the team after a matter of weeks


  5. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  6. Worked closely with superviser, and had regular contact with manager. Very supportive and helpful


  7. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  8. Had plenty of daily tasks to complete, but also given project work. Kept on my toes


  9. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  10. As part of a small team, I was entrusted with a lot of responsibility to make decisions.


  11. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  12. In the right mindset for my final year of studies and getting a good degree.


  13. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  14. Always a good laugh


  15. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  16. Very well organised. HR officer set up a great programme, with regular training.


  17. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  18. Regular training sessions, and also reviews were set up to check our progress for personal development.

  21. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  22. Have been accepted on to the Cooper Industries Leadership Programme. Currently in the progress of creating a programme for me.


  23. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  24. There were 16 interns, and we all got on really well, and had social events.


  25. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  26. Lived at home. Sites aren't in great locations, but the people are good


  27. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  28. No nightlife in Pinxton. Doncaster is a good night out though


  29. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  30. No
