  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • A combination of sessions (intros to practice areas), attending meetings/training sessions in our department. Working on our research tasks. Having lots of coffee chats with lawyers.

    • I think my research skills were improved - helped me think about how to apply academic law to more commercial situations, write for different audiences (e.g. board of directors vs my supervisor). Helped my prioritisation and time management skills.

    • Really fun and exciting. A bit overwhelming - there are so many practice areas I would love to do a seat in and obviously we have limited choices.

    • I absolutely loved it. Incredibly friendly. People were so generous with their time and happy to talk to us. Was excited to come in every day.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed it but it was quite full on and I’m definitely very tired now at the end of it. Didn’t always feel like there was enough time to get everything done.

    • I didn’t get it the first time I applied but did the second. If you really like the firm definitely apply again.
