    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed being given responsibility right from the offset and felt like I contributed within the team. It was great to have a year out working for a fast paced, interesting industry.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt highly valued as a team member, and will miss everyone I have worked with this last year. I have received encouraging feedback and they have all been very supportive throughout.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • They were always there for support, but often had to use initiative talking directly with clients.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The workload would get busier nearer to the release - especially of bigger film titles, but having 3 managers ensured that there was always work to do. There were times that I was less busy - but you would anticipate what needs to be done next, to spread the workload.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The role developed throughout the year, and by the end of the placement I was liaising directly with brand partners, and have campaigns that I have dealt with independently.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • We have had so many training opportunities this year, and this placement has been invaluable for gaining life long skills - it has been great working with lots of different partners.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Open plan office - great, fun work environment - easy to have a joke but still get the work done.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very organized. Everything ran seamlessly.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Plenty of training courses taken throughout the year, and the opportunity to visit the media agencies we work with on a day to day basis. Several PPRs to track my development throughout the year.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • No graduate scheme in place, but you make a lot of great contacts throughout the year that could refer you/offer you one. You can leave your name on the system, to be made aware of any opportunities within the company.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We had a great handover week to get to know the other interns. I also lived in a house with 5 others working at WB, as we wanted to make the most of the year. Around 30-40 interns in total.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Definitely a great social scene, and there is always something to do in London. Also went to a charity comedy night at WB. Quite costly on nights out would be the only downside.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Always somewhere to go.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 4/5
