    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Not only did I learn so much about the professional working environment, I also had the most interesting and exciting year yet! I truly felt like part of a great team.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Right from the get go I had a warm welcome from the whole team, which continued throughout the year. I also feel my opinions and feelings were always fully appreciated.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I knew that I could always go to my manager/supervisors if I ever needed help or advise. I recieved constant guidance and support in every aspect of the internship.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On the whole I think the day to day work load was very busy. In the European team, you are dealing with a lot of countries each day which can be very time consuming.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given more responsibility than I thought I would be given which was great for my learning! It gave me the perfect chance to develop my confidence.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will 100% carry these skills with my throughout my career. The business skills and people skills learnt here are invaluable.

    5/5

    The Company

  • Always busy, but always exciting and friendly.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Not a single problem.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Including the various training courses available to us throughout the year, I feel the company invested a lot of time, and effort into our own personal and proffessional development.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Unfortunatley there is no graduate scheme here, but in some instances past interns have returned for a permanent position- I would love to be one of them!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Myself and the other interns in my department tried to meet up a couple of times per month- London is full of things to do, but synchronising our diaries was quite difficult!

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Central London is very expensive, so budgeting was key.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There is so much choice in London- I always found somewhere great to go.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were lots of events/experiences to get involved in, so it was really up to me how much I wanted, or was able to do.

    4/5
