  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I've very much enjoyed my placement and the skills I've gained will be important in future working life

    • Working closely with the shift management team

    • A friendly management team helped support through the initial stages of my placement and are always present to offer advice

    • Every day brings something different and although the industry is very fast paced, I enjoy having to manage my time and meet deadlines

    • Responsibility for a number of tasks is ever present and on a few occasions I have been the only member of staff on shift and you are held accountable to the success of the department

    • I have developed a number of skills from working with various colleagues and leading teams and feel more confident for undertaking a placement year

    • In general, the office atmosphere was positive and enjoyable. There is a good balance between hard work and good humour!

    • The placement scheme is well organised with a buddy/mentor system in place and regular contact from HR

    • Although the environment is fast paced, the company have still invested time in ensuring my development

    • The company offers a good graduate scheme and an opportunity to move up the ladder quickly, which is appealing

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Interaction with other students was minimal as we are based in various depots across the country

    • Didn't have to relocate but the area is reasonably priced

    • Good!
