The Role
I've very much enjoyed my placement and the skills I've gained will be important in future working life
Working closely with the shift management team
A friendly management team helped support through the initial stages of my placement and are always present to offer advice
Every day brings something different and although the industry is very fast paced, I enjoy having to manage my time and meet deadlines
Responsibility for a number of tasks is ever present and on a few occasions I have been the only member of staff on shift and you are held accountable to the success of the department
I have developed a number of skills from working with various colleagues and leading teams and feel more confident for undertaking a placement year
The Company
In general, the office atmosphere was positive and enjoyable. There is a good balance between hard work and good humour!
The placement scheme is well organised with a buddy/mentor system in place and regular contact from HR
Although the environment is fast paced, the company have still invested time in ensuring my development
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
The company offers a good graduate scheme and an opportunity to move up the ladder quickly, which is appealing
The Culture
Interaction with other students was minimal as we are based in various depots across the country
Didn't have to relocate but the area is reasonably priced
Good!
Many opportunities through various sports clubs.etc
