    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The people are mostly quality to work with! But the hours are far too long to be enjoyable and the amount of sh*t you have to put up with from customers isn't good. And it's the same thing everyday which get monotonous.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You make some good mates and when you eventually run the day, people do listen and respect your decisions.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone has been in the same position so are very helpful but there just isn't enough time for proper training. So it's very much a learn as you go job.

    2/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Ridiculously busy. Good because it makes the day go fast but working til 7/8 on most nights means no free time at all! Wouldn't mind it if it ended at 6pm everyday!

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Fair play to them, they let you make your own mistakes. Help is available if you need it but if you want to go it alone, you can!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Will help with communication (which is very important!) but not much else.

    2/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Depends. I worked at a few branches, some were dead, some had a great atmosphere!

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very good. You get a manual detailing what needs to be done, when. So it helps you learn the ins and outs of it all.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There a fair few training days. But its mostly learning on your own.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Jobs are available with them...but that's only because everyone keeps leaving due to the stress of the job.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • You don't meet many other placement students except for on training days.

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheap but there's very little time for it!

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Quality.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Nothing at all.
