    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I working in Existing Customer Management within Unsecured Lending, so effectively I am involved in Credit Card Rewards. As part of my placement I provided data analysis to look at where the company could improve, and provided marketing material, that acted as both a staff and customer resource. I also liaised with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Yes, I was tasked with lots of responsibility, including vital analysis which would drive future decisions, as well as liaising with external stakeholders on my own.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • There were numerous people I could turn to if struggling. My line manager was very supportive anyway, but I still had a GradCoach who was always happy to help. Overall, HSBC had a very supportive and inclusive environment.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Numerous opportunities to get involved in the culture outside the standard 9-5. ERG's are great to be a part of and are the backbone of the inclusiveness. By getting involved in stuff to support them, it provides development opportunities.
