    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Managing the services we are contracted to deliver to our customers is like running your own small business. You’ll be keeping the promises we make. Demonstrating your entrepreneurial flair. Making decisions and taking responsibility for costs and revenues. Building relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers. And all the time being open and transparent on what needs to be done to ensure the contract is delivered, with customer needs front of mind.

  • Whilst on this course you strengthen and develop numerous skills. From this particular placement, i have personally developed: presentation, communication, confidence, decision making, leadership, analysing data and time management skills.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, you are given responsibility to take over projects depending on the account you are in. You are given exposure which is beneficial as a placement student as this strengthens networking skills. You are supported throughout, however still have the ability to produce independent work and take ownership.

  • You receive support throughout the programme. You have quarterly meetings to check point where you're at and are given the opportunity to give feedback. You have a line manager who is always there to support and go to for account specific enquiries/tasks.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is great. They have a wide variety of events running which are inclusive. There are also many social events to get involved with, which are fun and allows you to meet other colleagues.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I've really enjoyed my experience. I was able to be challenged and get involved in different projects which developed a handful of skills. My team has been great and everyone within the company i have came across, has been willing to help and support. I would definitely consider going back to CC as the programme was enjoyable and appeals to me.

  • Ensure to be yourself and confident. Read into the company beforehand and educate yourself of the services it provides. Also show willingness to learn new things.
