    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working on market intelligence projects and reports to distribute to the wider business to aid decision making. Working alongside various MI agencies to gain resources. Reporting on the social response to launch events and other social projects to support the business. Any further ad hoc MI or social requests.

  • Learnt how to use both the Brandwatch and Sprinklr social listening platforms effectively. Developing relationships with agencies and members of the CMI team. Critically evaluating data/reports to draw conclusions on how it effects the business. Presenting and visualizing data in an effective manner to give back to the wider business. Further developed working with technology and various platforms.

  • Had regular calls with my line manager and wider team. Had a handover period when starting within the business. Constant support of the wider team to assist with any questions/issues I have.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Great but hard working culture at the company. Some social activities but this was hampered by Covid etc. Had the chance to complete a charity project and get involved in further community initiatives if I'd have liked. Lots of further initiatives also available within the company to be involved in.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Samsung, the placement met all my expectations and was a great experience. Worked within a great team on some really interesting projects throughout. Would certainly return to Samsung within a different team to try a different role.

  • Research the company and the products they sell. Be relaxed during the interview process and be yourself! Be prepared to meet lots of super interesting people, including fellow placement students during the first week.
