    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Running and creating sales reports weekly sales reports to the AM. Creating sales performance presentations for heads of departments. Analysing core data to create graphs, forecasts, and trackers. Managing company database. Assisting the team in Adhoc data requests. Completing compliance checks in accordance with FCA regulations. Creating dashboards in Sales projects.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I’ve have gained extensive knowledge around financial services in the automotive sector. And have gained an understanding of how a captive lender works in the market. Practically speaking, I have developed my excel skills greatly, creating complex dashboards and the ability to analyse and sort data into decision making tools Developed communication skills while contacting and helping offshore developers with automation projects. As well as assisting heads of Sales with head office data submissions.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a large amount of responsibility during this placement. This year I have carried out reports and tasks, directly used by heads of department and the director. it’s an important supporting role which is very busy but great for learning! I have never had menial or trivial tasks to do.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I loved working in sales support, as you work closely with the Graduate on difficult but rewarding tasks. The team has very strong communication and we received weekly catch-ups with more experienced sales staff. I was helped with prioritisation management. I used my initiative to help progress excel skills, using online sources and via observing others.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • My time at RCI/Mobilize has been very challenging, but thoroughly rewarding. I have really gained knowledge and transferable skills for the future. I have had a flavour for what it’s like working in a big business. The team were genuinely great people, and it was fantastic to see passionate people in the work place.

  • Be yourself in the assessment centre, make sure to listen to others and give honest and thoughtful opinions. If you are keen to work hard with a lot of responsibility, in order to learn as much as possible in your years experience; then this is definitely a great place for you to work!
