    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I have worked closely with a number of experienced study managers and clinical trial assistants to develop a great understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle. I attend team meetings virtually to discuss clinical trial progress, and also work independently on tasks assigned to me. I work with different systems and excel on a daily basis.

  • I have developed my presentation and excel skills greatly during my placement. I have learnt some great tips and tricks for using excel which I feel will come in very handy when completing my final year at university. I also believe that my written and verbal communications skills have improved throughout my placement, which I believe has consequently increased my personal confidence.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received lots of support during my placement. This support came from my manager, supervisor and HR. I had regular conversations with these colleagues where they would ask how my workload was, if I had any questions or if there was anything they could help me with. Throughout my placement I have always felt that I have multiple people that I can ask for help and advise with my work.
