Supported the sales team on a range of processes from deal negotiation to deal papering. Involved creating field orders for completed deals and creating deal negotiation grids. In addition to this, the role would involve updating the market with product information and gathering feedback on the products from clients.
I definitely feel I have developed new skills as well as improved upon existing ones from my time in the role. My organizational skills definitely improved as I was able to handle my own workload at times when it was busier than usual. My attention to detail was also enhanced as the role required having to look at for small details on spreadsheets and in systems.
Over my time in the internship I have definitely been given more responsibility as I developed into my role and became more confident in my ability. I was able to communicate with clients and was given ownership of tasks such as product pushes, tracking documents and other ad hoc tasks.
The support and guidance I received from my manager and the rest of the team was amazing. Everybody in the team would make time to answer questions and make sure that I was happy with the work I was doing. My manager would regularly check in with me to see how I was which was especially helpful when starting out working from home.
The company culture and atmosphere couldn't have been more welcoming, open and inclusive. Everybody was very friendly and would always make an effort to see how you were getting on. There are plenty of activities and opportunities to get involved in, such as volunteering days and being involved in the Young People's network and other employee resource groups.
