Overview
The day to day of the insight programme included visits to local estates, attending departmental overviews on zoom, meeting various staff members in the office, and shadowing a graduate surveyor. I was also given some simple tasks such as looking for comps online.
Skills
The insight programme has enabled me to develop my communication and networking skills, and also deepened my understanding of the practicalities of rural surveying.

Business Insight
The insight programme helped me to better understand the daily routine of a rural surveyor, and also the office culture of Savills. My studies have been more abstract and theoretical thus far, so the insight programme has been a real help in being able to visualise potential career options and where I might end up when I finish uni.

I was made to feel very welcome, and the various Savills directors and employees made a real effort to introduce themselves and chat about their roles.

I very much enjoyed the insight programme. My only complaint is that it was only a week as I would have happily stayed for longer!
