Each day involved at least an hour of recruitment-team-led insight talks about different departments within the company and also gave us the opportunity to ask questions. Other time was spent with the department mentor assisting and carrying our responsibilities with them/ on their behalf. This included writing site appraisals, filling out applications on the planning portal and writing letters of approval/ cover letters.

It has widened my scope of though as before I undertook the insight program I thought the pathways were much more limited. It is definitely confusing with all the different pathways and specific requirements necessary for them (e.g. RICS or RTPI) but it was well explained and I feel comfortable to email with any questions that may arise.
A heavy focus on collaboration which I enjoyed as the environment felt safe and it meant asking for help/advice was easy and not looked down upon. It made the work environment more conducive to efficiency. There is obviously a great support network for the employees and everyone in my office seemed engaged and happy to be there.
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight. I feel extremely grateful and proud to have been given such a great opportunity and I feel much more confident with future applications. It has increased my hinger and drive to get into the industry and I hope to be back soon.
