Overview
During this placement, I sat day-to-day with a Trainee Lawyer (junior supervisor) and a Senior Associate (senior supervisor). My time was spent doing tasks for them (e.g. legal research, drafting Directors' Certificates, organising Conditions Precedent for transactions, taking notes), whilst regularly checking in with them at update meetings.
Skills
I developed legal research skills and written communication skills during this placement, including receiving detailed feedback from supervisors.
Business Insight
This understanding was provided through in-depth presentations about different areas of the firm, as well as through networking sessions with current trainees and partners.
Culture
Extremely friendly. Many individuals were willing to make time to chat about their work, and opportunities at the Firm, over coffee.
