The role entailed many learning all the different aspects that make up the daily rental side of enterprise. Daily we would take charge of things to ensure the day run smoothly be it working operations in the branch, serving our customers, or out on the road.
The job requires you to constantly develop current and learn skills throughout your time with the company. This includes things such as team working and time management all the way through to things such as sales, marketing and finance skills.
You are given full responsibility of captaincy areas of the business. This includes being the manager for things such as sales, growth, control, maintenance etc. if you do not meet your targets and achieve your goals you are held accountable, same with if you do meet them you are rewarded.
During my placement I had monthly 1 to 1’s with my branch manager to monitor and assess my progress. If I required any extra support it was always provided.
The company bases itself on its founding values. It’s a very professional environment within which providing excellent customer service is focused heavily upon.
I enjoyed my placement as it provided me with great insight and experiences of how a professional organization is managed. It also allowed me to develop skills which would be very transferable within my career.
